Get answers to common questions about Chin / Lower Waxing.

Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormones, and skin type. Regular waxing often produces finer regrowth and longer intervals between appointments. We recommend scheduling based on how quickly your hair returns and personal preference.

You may feel a brief stinging or pulling sensation, often described as mild to moderate. Experienced technicians use proper technique and pre-warm wax to reduce pain. Avoid caffeine before your visit and communicate with your technician to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Come with hair about a quarter-inch long for the wax to grip. Avoid exfoliating, chemical peels, or retinoids for several days beforehand. Clean skin is best—arrive makeup-free and avoid heavy moisturizers right before your appointment.

Avoid sun exposure, hot baths, saunas, and heavy exercise for 24–48 hours. Apply a gentle, soothing lotion or aloe vera and skip harsh exfoliants for two days. If irritation or bumps occur, use a cool compress and contact us for advice.

Waxing removes hair at the root, which can reduce the frequency of ingrown hairs compared to shaving. Proper technique, exfoliation after healing, and topical treatments further minimize ingrowns. If you struggle with persistent ingrowns, we can recommend tailored aftercare.

Most clients schedule Chin / Lower Waxing every three to six weeks depending on growth rate. Some prefer more frequent upkeep for a consistently smooth look. We’ll help you establish an ideal maintenance schedule based on your hair cycle and goals.
