Shower and gently exfoliate the area before your appointment. Hair should be about 1/4 inch long. Avoid heavy lotions, sunburn, and caffeine immediately beforehand for optimal comfort and adhesion.
Many clients with sensitive skin tolerate this treatment well because the mud calms and detoxifies. We recommend a patch test and informing your technician about sensitivities, medications, or skin conditions before waxing.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth. With regular waxing, regrowth often becomes finer and sparser, while the mud helps keep skin looking revitalized between appointments.
Yes. The mineral-rich mud and its mild exfoliating effect help clear pores and reduce clogged follicles. Combined with proper aftercare and periodic exfoliation, it can lower ingrown hair occurrence.
Avoid waxing over open wounds, active rashes, infections, sunburn, or if you've recently used retinoids or isotretinoin. Pregnancy is usually fine but disclose medical history so we can advise appropriately.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, strenuous exercise, and tight clothing for 24â48 hours. Use recommended soothing lotions, skip self-tanners for a few days, and begin gentle exfoliation after 48â72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
