Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Microdermoabrasion.

Microdermoabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation using crystalline or diamond-tipped devices to remove dead skin cells. It resurfaces the epidermis, stimulates circulation and collagen, and improves texture, minimizing fine lines, sun damage, and minor scarring with minimal downtime.

Most clients feel only mild abrasion or gentle suction; treatments are well tolerated without anesthesia. Temporary redness or tenderness may occur for a few hours. We customize intensity to your skin sensitivity to ensure comfort and safety.

Visible improvements often appear after one session, but optimal results typically require a series of four to six treatments spaced two to four weeks apart. Deeper concerns may need additional sessions and ongoing maintenance.

Ideal candidates have dull, uneven skin, mild sun damage, fine lines, or clogged pores. Those with active acne, rosacea flare-ups, eczema, open wounds, or recent injectables/laser should avoid treatment until cleared by our therapist or physician.

Expect mild redness, slight sensitivity, and brighter skin immediately. Avoid direct sun, use SPF, and follow aftercare recommendations. Makeup can usually be applied later the same day, and improvements continue as skin renews over several days.

Avoid heavy exfoliants, retinoids, and waxing for several days before treatment. Arrive with clean skin free of makeup. Discuss medications and recent procedures during your consultation so we can tailor intensity and ensure safe, effective results.
